Product Description
Stansport Deluxe Freighter Aluminum Frame Pack is designed for the outdoorsman who travels into the roughest terrain. It has a fully padded and adjustable suspension system with cervical pad and excellent weight distribution. It's padded hip belt features multiple attachment points. It has a fold down freighter shelf and has a weight capacity of 75lbs.

I was very disappointed when I received this pack frame. The pack frame received was nothing like the one pictured at Amazon. Upon checking at Stansport's site I found that the same picture used at Amazon was being used at the Stansport's site. I chatted with a Stansports' rep who advised that the picture was old and that they had changed the design of the frame but hadn't changed the picture. I believe that this a very very poor business practice and that what they show you should be what you receive. I did not like the design of the pack frame received (looks much lighter duty ) and it was uncomfortable. I returned the frame.

I bought this item for my trophy elk hunt. I need it to pack out the quarters, about 60lbs each. I walked about a half mile when the stitching came out of the support strap for the shelf, dropping my load. I tied the broken strap and with difficulty picked up the pack again. (I had help the first time.) I went another 50 yards and the other strap failed, dumping the load again. I tied that side also, and with greater difficult picked it up again. I walked another fifty yard and the fabric seam stitching failed. I ended dropping my load 6 times before I rigged up a system using rope to support the load. The end result was I barely made it to my truck; I believe I could have suffered heat stroke out there with the exertion required to repeatedly pick up the load. This product is one of the worst I ever owned.

I bought this pack for a dual purpose. The first and main use is for transporting my double bull blind into the turkey woods. I attach it with bungee cords, along with two chairs and hang a book bag full of gear on it and the pack simply works awesome. The blind and chairs sit on the ledge at the bottom and don't slide out. The pack is very light weight, strong, durable and super comfortable when packing things in and out. I haven't tried it for backpacking in on a camping trip, but I think it would work great. And the price I found was very reasonable. I would strongly recommend this product.
