I use these straps when camping with my girlfriend to attach two REI Camp Beds 2.5. (We also use an Outdoor Hardware 2-person sleeping bag which is awesome.) The straps attach easily, don't slip and are not noticeable when laying on the mats. Some people said they can keep the velcro closed and just slip the straps on and off the mats so as not to have to re-velcro them w/ each use. However, I find that once installed, they are too tight on the mats to slip them off easily, but it doesn't take too much time/effort to open and close the straps w/ each use. The best part is I no longer wake up sleeping on the ground between the two pads which would slip apart during the night before I got these straps. The stuff sack is a little awkward as it came attached to one of the straps, but I just un-attached them and the sack works much better. The coupler kit packs up small and light and I store it in my sleeping bag stuff sack so I don't forget to bring it along. I have been very pleased with the quality of all the Exped products I've used--highly recommended.

We use this for coupling together two Big Agnes Air Core air mattresses when car camping. It works fine. We actually also own a similar Big Agnes product which has a slightly different design, but the Exped works just as well. It seems like it should work fine with almost any backpacking-style air mattress (but not with those "twin bed" sized mattresses that have to be inflated with a pump).

I wish I had this a long time ago. Worked great with two older thermarest prolite 4's. The got rid of the gap between our sleeping pads and kept them together throughout the entire night. We've tried rope before, but rope would always move up and down and just didn't work well. This was not very noticeable to lay on and once you velcro each piece to the right length, they are set and you can just slide them on.
