Simple, easy to use, and yummy!
By A. J. Weaver
I like grilling to be an authentic outdoor experience. That means saying no to the gleaming stainless steel grills that are the size (and price) of my car. I like this one because it's as basic as they get. I start a fire, set the grill above the coals an hour later, and it's ready to go. No, it's not fancy, but it does a great job. My only complaint is that the rotisserie spit has only one skewer, which makes it hard to balance a whole chicken. If there were three or four spears, it would hold the fowl more firmly. For the price, it's a great deal.

Works Great and is a lot of fun
By J. Betts
I took this camping over a long weekend and was very glad to have it. It fit nicely inside the standard iron camping ring at our site. Hot Dogs and Burgers came out great as did the two beef roasts I made on the spit. The only thing that was a bit of a hassle was trying to cook chickens on the spit. The spit has only one stabilizing rod on it and that is fairly close to the center rod. The chickens would just flop around on the spit while I turned it to the next position. I tried filling up the cavities with onions but that didn't help. The chickens came out great and everyone was very surprised by how juicy the chicken was, it was just a hassle to get these chickens to turn just enough each time, especially while camping (raw chicken all over my hands). I had no problems with the beef though. The beef was easy to roast and turned out amazing. I just Speared the beef and then placed the whole thing on the cooking grate to sear the outside and then I put it all into the spit roast position and moved it to the next position every fifteen minuets. Everyone was very impressed by the beef.I would recommend getting some Heavy duty hearth gloves to use with this because everything is going to be very hot and rotating the spit between positions takes...some finesse. The Spit fits into the grill and there are four positions where you need to put the stabilization bar into. This means sliding the spit slightly horizontally and then rotating the spit then sliding it back. The grill could seem a little unstable to some but I didn't have any problems with it, It just wiggles a little when you manhandle it but it never made things difficult and I was never worried about it falling over. Other people reported that the paint flaked off and some welds came loose but I didn't have any of these things happen. And I put it into some really hot fires.I think the only thing that really could use improvement is the spit rod only having one stabilizing rod. Chickens being hollow need more stabilization.

A great old Western feel
By Jaci Rae
This is a great grill if you want to feel the old Western backwoods feeling of little house in the prairie days. It keeps the meet high off the fire while keeping a tender and moist. Multi use makes this a fun camping accessory. While it is a little cumbersome to bring along you and your guests will enjoy the taste of your food as well as the feel of olden days camping.
