I use this pack as an emergency kit, it has a lot of space and the webbing pads your hips when worn for a long time. It can carry a lot of gear so it can be over packed easily and if it were a simple nylon strap it could cause pressure points as some of my other kits have. I carry two large water bottles so the small pockets provided didn't work for that but as I also wrap my bottles with a roll gorilla tape and then just slip them under the two compression straps on the kit it gives me ultimate water carrying ability on a kit this size. The main compartment also has a elastic and webbed divider great for some of the things I don't want just floating around in my bag. I usually tuck my knife in the front compression flap just for a place to keep it when I'm not wearing it. The entire kit was soaked in a river on a trip and it took no time to dry. It has been packed full carried around and tossed around, dunked in the river and left for days in the car without any defects, great bag.

This pack is super functional and not too technical looking for everyday use! I carry it more like a purse most days but is really nice to have the option to fanny up and hit the trail! The only wish I have for it would be to have a little padding on the purse strap for your shoulder. I love having something to hold my water bottle and smoothie shaker but it does add weight that could be more comfortable with some light padding.
