Whether in the city or out in the wild, Swiss Gear's Bern Midsized Hiking Pack is sure to be comfortable with its padded, contoured shoulder straps including shock absorption. This pack is hydration compatible for a 2 liter reservoir (not included). It measures 19 by 13 by 7.5 inches and has a capacity of 2000 cubic inches. The sternum strap is adjustable with an integrated whistle buckle. Two front pockets have an organizer for hiking gear while two side mesh stash pockets hold water bottles or other quick access items. A detachable pocket on the shoulder strap secures your GPS while the easy access media pocket with its waterproof zipper holds your MP3 player. This day pack is terrific. With an adjustable length, it makes it easy for anyone of any height to wear this comfortably. The sternum strap is a definite advantage, keeping the load well centred on your back. The ability to carry a hydration pack is nice, although I haven't used it. The rain cover came in handy on a wet day in Holland, and the side mesh pockets are ample for holding a good sized water bottle. The only downside, is that the pocket in the bottom where the rain cover stores is curved at the front, and I find that the pack will not stand up straight. Perhaps the idea is to stuff something firm in the front section of that pocket. All in all, a good product for the price.

I used it in Honduras and was very happy with it. It's very comfortable and has plenty of space. I would definitely recommend it if you do any hiking or traveling.

This backpack is very comfortable and functional. Great for one-day hicks that require to carry food, drinks and some rain gear. Don't overfill.
