This small compact inflatable pillow beats any comparable product I've tried in my 35+ years of outdoor endeavors. It packs down very small in the attached stuff sack, but is an adequate size when inflated. The velour top and memory foam provide you with a very comfortable feel and keeps your head from sliding off, while the woven shock cord gives you the ability to make it higher if desired. I found the inflated height more than adequate for my tastes. In hindsight, I wish I had gone for the larger size and those who toss and turn a lot should consider that, but this size is will work fine for most & is preferable if weight and compactness are an issue. This may be obvious, but I checked with the manufacturer and they recommend storing it un-stuffed when not in use.

Excellent product, here's why: Having back and neck problems for many years, I have owned memory foam pillows for a long time. Problem with my large memory pillows during travel and normal use: size, weight, foam deteriorates and doesn't offer support and price! Looks like my NEMO Fillo pillow has solved all of these problems! From the first night, I have not used my memory foam pillow, since the Fillo out-classes it by far. The support is firm, size is great, whether making the bed or packing in suitcase or using on the couch or as a lumbar support in the home or car. I will use it during motorcycle camping, where size and weight are major considerations. Wife took a pillow case, cut it down in size, added a small snap, so the looks should remain new for years.Here are my "negatives": There is a slight "crackling" sound when you move your head on the pillow, but this is ignored after a couple nights on it. Also, the air valve lock mechanism was tight, so it took a few tries to learn how to operate it smoothly. I don't touch the valve now, since I've dialed in the proper amount of air. One other "negative": the pillow is so small (and supports my head and neck so well) that I cannot tuck my hands under it while I sleep.I love the pillow, will probably buy more as gifts if the price stays affordable, as it now is.03/14/2013 Update: the pillow is performing well after about 1-1/2 years of daily use. I take it on all my trips, including by air, car, motorcycle. It's been a great investment.

While looking at this item I was unable to find the exact weight of it, which is obviously important if you are hiking for any distance. That being said the weight is a fairly significant 10.9oz. I am, however, completely willing to forgive this weight after laying on it one time and seeing that it actually packs into a smaller stuff sack than my much smaller and lighter former pillow. Overall a great product if you aren't an ultralight backpacker.
