I purchased a pair of these to have some sturdy wine glasses for day packing/picnics. Unfortunately they have a distracting metallic taste that makes them marginally useful for wine. Even after several washings it hasn't gone away. I'm a fan of GSI products but this one is a miss.

I got this as a liveaboard sailor and and occasional wine drinker, as a wine glass that holds up to the shaky nautical lifestyle.These quickly became my go-to cups for all things drinkable, be they protein smoothies or beer or whatever. While they barely hold 12 oz, their convenience makes me reach for them. Why? They have yet to tip over, which is amazing in my boat. Low center of gravity. The lip is easy to clean, no rolled lip like a dixie cup. The cup in general is a cinch to hand-wash, a quick once-over with a brush and you're done.Bad part? The lip is a bit sharp. I'd have bevelled the edge a bit more.

I use the wine cup all the time when glass cups are prohibited (pool, beach area and outdoor concert events) love the size and shape of this wine glass.I have tried others but found this to be the most useful.
